Privacy Policy

How Knowledge And Skills International ("KASI", "we") collects, uses, protects and retains personal information, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Last updated: 12 June 2026.

1. Who we are

KASI is a South African skills development provider delivering QCTO-aligned occupational programmes. Information Officer: the Managing Director — contactable at info@edukasi.tech.

2. What we collect, and why

  • Programme applications: name, email, phone, province, funding details — to assess and administer your application and enrolment.
  • Learner records: enrolment, progress, assessment and certification data — required by SAQA, the QCTO and SETAs for nationally recognised qualifications.
  • Practitioner directory: professional details you submit for public listing — displayed only with your consent; phone numbers are never published.
  • Newsletter: your email address — only if you subscribe; unsubscribe anytime.
  • Website analytics: aggregated page-view counts only. No cookies for tracking, no IP addresses stored, no third-party trackers.

3. Legal basis

We process personal information with your consent, to perform our agreement with you, and to meet legal obligations (including SAQA/QCTO/SETA reporting and tax law).

4. Sharing

We share learner achievement data with SAQA, the QCTO and relevant SETAs as the law requires, and with assessment/moderation practitioners bound by confidentiality. We do not sell personal information. Service providers that process data for us (hosting, learning platform, messaging) do so under our instruction.

5. Security

Data is held on access-controlled systems with encrypted transport (HTTPS). Internal access follows need-to-know. Learner identities in our automation systems use pseudonymous IDs.

6. Retention

Learner and assessment records are retained as required by qualification authorities and tax law (typically 5 years), then securely destroyed. Application records of unsuccessful or inactive applicants are removed within 24 months. Newsletter data is deleted on unsubscribe.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, withdraw consent, or object to processing, by emailing info@edukasi.tech. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).

We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated date.
